The Gaslamp Killer (feat. Gonjasufi) - "When I'm In Awe"

with gonjasufi releasing one of my favorite albums this year (which also happend to be his debut to the world) & gaslamp killer just being an overall badass dj/producer it's without a doubt that this track off gaslamp's new ep would be amazing.

it's the perfect mix of gonja's haunting vocals & gaslamp's eerily sampled beats. almost like it's a little something extra just in time for an early halloween.

i want you back underneath my skin.

No Age - Glitter

well....i just couldn't stay for very long. i can't promise the posts won't be far & few between but i'll always make an exception for no age.

this new track is from their upcoming album 'everything in between' being released next month. it reeks of a screeching sonic youth while still maintaining original coolness. give it a mariah carey whirl.

halt.

i'm going to be without my personal computer for a little while going through the motions of good life changes. unfortunatley that means the blog will be put on hold for right now.

i'll come back to you guys.....i always do. <3

time must wait for someone.

Dear Time's Waste - Blue & Gold

Dear Time's Waste - Clandestine

i love how whimsical tunes can put you in such a calm & chill place. so if this is something you'd be interested in doing then you can do so by listening to new zealand's dear time's waste. their debut album will be out this october & by their recent ep i have a feeling it's gonna be a good one.

summer days (and summer nights!!)

Beige - In Kind

Beige - Trailed

though they haven't been signed to a record label or even have a debut album out, here come the warm, lo-fi sounds courtesy of brooklyn's beige. it's like the beach boys alllllllll grown up.

i'm stranded & starry-eyed.

The Walkmen - Stranded

want to find a way to make me swoon? go to Portugal, make an album & release a track like this 2 months before the whole thing comes out.

White Ring - Suffocation

back to the future.

Abe Vigoda - Throwing Shade

did abe vigoda throw a little thompson twins/early new order in with their wheaties? they put out one of my favorite albums of 2008 & they were just as fun to see live with their garage punk drenched sound like THIS. now they go & get all synthesizer happy with this track they just released & honestly.....it's still a load of fun.

their new album is rumored to be out this september & i can't wait to see how they'll pull this one off when they stroll through town.

Porcelain Raft - Tip Of Your Tounge

Porcelain Raft - Stained Glass (VIDEO)

i dig how one man act porcelain raft daintily labels all of his tunes korean pop when it's obviously british feel good tunes of swirling guitars with a haunting voice masked with just a tinge of electronics.

you can check out his latest ep HERE. it's simple, not too over the top & overall just a really good listen.

hold up, wait a minute.

Grum - Want U

sometimes i have to watch it with leeds based producer grum as i feel he can take electroclubdance hits to the extreme. which is why he pleasantly shut me up with this smooth & refreshing track from his debut album heartbeats he released last month.

it's a perfect way to end my sunday.....

just like honey.

Light Pollution - Drunk Kids

chicago's Light Pollution even made me feel a little woozy drunk with a track from their debut album they just released today. with that drum/tambourine thing they have going on i wouldn't put it past them to be fans of the jesus & marychain.
