Akron/Family - So It Goes
now this is how you get a damn album released:
blow your deadline & ignore the numerous emails/text messages sent from your record label with pleas to finish an album. then out of nowhere send them a large brown box with the words "SHINJU TNT" scrawled across the bottom of it in black magic marker & the only return address being "AK, Detroit." then inside the box you put toy astronauts/dinosaurs, three pictures, a tracklist written in crayon & four blown out song fragments on a TDK CDR in a ziplock bag. a post-it on the bag declares that you refuse to send the full album to anyone but the vinyl pressing plant.
despite the numerous leaked versions of it on the internet as of late, akron/family's "S/T II:The Cosmic Birth and Journey of Shinju TNT" will be out february 8th on dead oceans.
